GBKF Reserved IDs

The GBKF format allows to define a "Specification ID", similar to a "sub-extension". This helps allows readers to identify the top-level specification, because it is important to use different ID's, specially on public formats.

To reserve a value or a range of values, you must write an email to rafael@senties-martinelli.com, and provide as most details as possible, some suggestions are:

  • Requestor/Company name/website.
  • Basic explanation of the intended usage.
  • License of the top-level specification; Private, Open-Source, Libre-Software, ...
  • Is the format already in use?
  • Your desired ID's range.

Once the request approved, it will be added the public list.
